ReFirme Skin Tightening – A Non-Invasive Technique to Firm and Tone the Skin

ReFirme skin tightening is a revolutionary new non-invasive aesthetic technique that is designed to help men and women achieve a smoother, younger look that lasts. As we grow older and our bodies begin to age, the connective tissue that gives our skin its firmness begins to slowly break down. This break down is due to exposure of the daily elements—especially sun exposure, heredity and the normal aging process. In addition, the collagen beneath the skin that gives our skin its smooth, taught appearance also diminishes as e age, so skin becomes loose and starts to sag and wrinkle. If you are looking for a non-invasive anti-aging solution for wrinkles, fine lines or sagging skin, look no further than ReFirme.

Skin tightening techniques such as ReFirme are designed to assist in the reactivating of the collagen within the structure of the skin to firm up loose skin and give patients are more youthful appearance. Because of this, the revolutionary ReFirme skin tightening treatments are the perfect anti-aging solutions for those who are targeting the visible signs of aging. There are many benefits to undergoing the ReFirme skin tightening treatment; patients experience virtually painless treatments that require no incisions and no downtime. This revolutionary technology targets tissue beneath the skin in the dermal layers of the skin. The heat causes the natural production of collagen which ultimately leads to smoother, firmer looking skin.

The reason the ReFirme treatment is so successful is because it utilizes the patented Elos technology by Syneron. The Elos technology is comprised of bi-polar radiofrequency and infrared light energy that work in tandem to successfully heat dermal tissue. By penetrating (RF) heat through the epidermis and into the deeper layers of skin tissue below, when dermal tissue is heated, this heat stimulates the natural production of collagen which helps to remove wrinkles, and firm and tighten lax or saggy skin. The ReFirme is truly innovative because it is completely non-invasive, which means patients experience less pain and discomfort and no recovery time. Patients can get firmer, smoother, more youthful looking skin without undergoing an invasive procedure, what more could you ask for?

The one difference between ReFirme skin tightening treatments and other, more invasive, treatments is that you’ll need to undergo more of them. Patients who undergo chemical peels and invasive laser resurfacing techniques will experience a significant amount of pain and will have to suffer through extensive downtime, but the plus side is that once you recover, you’ll see fantastic results that are long lasting. With ReFirme, patients will still see excellent results; they’ll just have to undergo a series of treatments in order to achieve those results. After each individual ReFirme treatment, patients see fantastic results and after a series of treatments (usually 4 to 6), patients can’t believe the transformation; and the best part about it—lasting skin rejuvenation results. Discover the lasting benefits non-invasive skin tightening treatments have to offer, find out more about ReFirme today.

IPL – How Intense Pulsed Light Treatments are Revolutionizing the Aesthetic Marketplace

Intense Pulsed Light or IPL is one of the many non-invasive aesthetic laser devices available to practitioners and patients for skin and body rejuvenation. IPL technology is similar to true laser technology in that it emits a concentrated beam of laser light, but while true lasers target and treat at one specific wavelength depth, intense pulsed light reaches and treats many different skin depths by emitting multiple wavelengths of light. While this makes IPL less effective for some aesthetic treatments such as tattoo removal and cellulite reduction, it makes it more useful for aesthetic procedure such as skin tightening and skin rejuvenation. When considering any aesthetic treatment, speak with your practitioner beforehand about the laser devices being used; be sure you are undergoing treatment with the most precise laser technology available.

Skin Tightening/Skin Rejuvenation

Skin tightening and skin rejuvenation techniques with the IPL laser are always very effective for tightening loose and sagging skin, diminishing fine lines and wrinkles, and giving the skin a smoother, more uniform appearance. When the intense pulsed light laser is passed over the treatment area it penetrates through the outer layers of skin and targets multiple depths in the dermis layers below. The laser energy transforms into heat and that heat causes localized damage to the lower tissue layers. The damage caused by the heat of the laser effectively stimulates the natural growth of collagen within the skin.

Collagen is one of the natural building blocks of our skin—it is what gives the skin its smooth, firm appearance. As men and women age, their collagen growth within the skin slowly decreases, it is this decrease that causes the formation of wrinkles, fine lines and loose and sagging skin. By stimulating collagen growth, the IPL treatments effectively fill in fine lines and wrinkles from the inside out. This is the most effective method for rejuvenating and tightening loose and lax skin.

Permanent Hair Reduction

When performing skin tightening procedures, many practitioners realized that one of the side effects of the IPL treatment was the reduction of hair in the treatment area. There are several lasers currently on the market for the reduction of unwanted hair, and all but the intense pulsed light laser are true lasers. True lasers utilize one continuous wavelength of light which can accurately reach and treat hair at specific depths. The IPL laser can also treat and remove unwanted hair, but because it penetrates the skin at multiple wavelengths, treatments are not as precise. Now this isn’t to say that patients can’t see hair reduction success with the IPL laser, it simply means that on average, patients will have to undergo several more treatments with IPL technology than with true laser technology.

Whether undergoing skin rejuvenation or hair removal treatments, know that after a series of intense pulsed light treatments, you will experience safe, effective results that last. Consult with your practitioner today and discover if aesthetic treatments with IPL are right for you.

Arm Lift – Removing Excess Arm Skin for a Smoother More Toned Appearance

More men and women are undergoing cosmetic facial and body procedures now to look and feel their best than ever before; one such procedure is the Arm Lift. The Brachioplasty procedure, which is most commonly known as the arm lift, involves shaping and toning the arms by removing loose and sagging skin. When we are young, we maintain a smooth, firm, contoured shape due to the production of collagen within the skin; continual collagen production is what keeps the skin firm. As we age, the natural production of collagen within the body starts to decrease. As this decrease happens, skin that was once firm starts to loosen and sag. Lose and sagging skin on the upper arms can cause many men and women to become embarrassed and self conscious. An arm lift is a great way to get back that natural look and feel.

The arm lift procedure involves surgically removing the excess skin from the upper part of the arm. While this treatment is undergone for cosmetic reasons, it is still a surgical procedure, therefore patients will have to be placed under either a local or a general anesthetic; the anesthetic used will be determined on a case by case basis. Once the anesthetic is administered, the surgeon will start the procedure by making an incision on the underside of the arm that spans from the elbow to the armpit. Once made, the surgeon will then begin to trim excess skin from the area; if it is needed, excess fat can also be removed via liposuction. Once all of the excess skin and fat is removed, the skin that remains will be pulled together and sutured closed. Bandages will then be placed around the arm in order to reduce swelling and assist in the healing process.

Depending on the extent of the surgery, the Brachioplasty procedure can last anywhere from one to two hours. This surgery is performed on an outpatient basis, so patients will be able to return home that same day. It is normal for patients to expect a good amount of discomfort for the first several days following treatment but pain can be controlled with proper medication. Patients will notice a reduction in swelling after the first few weeks; it is not until the swelling is completely gone that patients will finally be able to see their results.

In a time where body consciousness is at an all time high, we all want to look and feel our very best, but those individuals who are considering an arm lift to remove excess arm skin should seriously consider it before moving forward. While a Brachioplasty does remove excess fat and skin from the upper arm, it also leaves patients with a permanent scar, so you will be trading one imperfection for another. If that is only a minor concern for you then don’t deter from considering an arm lift. This treatment provides a great solution for those who are looking for a way to permanently remove excess arm skin. If you are interested, consult with your physician or plastic surgeon today and find out if this is the right treatment for you.

Skin Tightening – The Best Ways to Tighten Skin for a Smoother, More Contoured Look and Feel

Non-invasive skin tightening techniques are becoming more and more popular as individuals continue to see the lasting benefits that these treatments provide. No matter how strict our diet and exercise regiments may be, once you reach a certain age, it seems that some facial and body areas just fail to respond. Because of this, various skin tightening techniques have been developed that can smooth and tone the body in localized areas thus giving men and women a tighter more contoured look and feel. Skin tightening is a fantastic way to reduce loose and flabby facial and body skin for a smoother, tighter, more contoured shape.

As skin tightening technology has progressed, several different treatments have been developed to help men and women smooth and tighten their skin. These include Thermage, photo rejuvenation and laser skin tightening.

Thermage: The Thermage procedure was the first skin tightening treatment to become available to consumers and it is performed using a device called the ThermaCool TC. This device utilizes radiofrequency waves in order to create a controlled section of heating within the dermis and the deeper tissue of the skin, while at the same time constantly cooling and protecting the outer layers of the epidermis via a cryogen spray. By effectively heating the collagen within the dermis to a specific temperature, the heat works to create a natural biological reaction that causes the existing collagen to contract and thicken; this reaction results in the formation of tighter, smoother skin.

Photo Rejuvenation: Photo Rejuvenation, also known as PhotoFacial, is a skin tightening procedure that utilizes pulsed light technology, which is similar to laser technology but differs slightly. Pulsed Light technology involves the use of multiple wavelengths of light that reach varying penetration depths simultaneously. By concentrating the wavelengths of energy at a variety of different tissue levels, the pulsed light can stimulate collagen growth at a variety of depths. This allows for more even skin tightening results in those patients that have varying degrees of skin laxticity.

Laser Skin Tightening: Laser skin tightening treatments are innovative because they combine the technologies of both Thermage and photo rejuvenation for complete skin rejuvenation. By combining RF frequency with true laser technology, this treatment cause’s localized damage to the dermal layers of skin with promotes the natural growth of collagen. There are several different skin tightening lasers on the market today, each one is designed to target and treat varying levels of skin laxticity. Because this treatment is more intense, the results are more long lasting. After a single treatment patients experience visible results and after a series, they enjoy a smooth, contoured look that lasts.

Depending on the level of skin tightening patients are trying to achieve, one of these treatments may be better suited because different skin depths will need to be targeted and reached. We never want to think about that fact that one day we’ll wake up and realize our skin no longer has the firm, youthful look it once did, but now there are a variety of skin tightening treatments that can help to restore that smooth, wrinkle free look we all want. Find out more today about these skin tightening treatments and discover if one may be right for you.
