Cellulite Treatment | Get Rid of It Today!

Cellulite Treatment is sought after by many women who currently suffer from the outward appearance of cellulite.  Cellulite is actually excess fat that is deposited on the buttocks, thighs and abdomen of most women. Though not a disease, it is known to be a cause of depression and lack of confidence in many women. For this reason, cellulite therapy has become a multimillion-dollar business.

Some of the methods are invasive like liposuction, Mesotherapy and acupuncture.

  1. Liposuction: In this method, the fat is surgically removed. This is the fastest way to get rid of cellulite especially in the advanced stage. It requires the expertise of a cosmetic surgeon and can be expensive.
  2. Mesotherapy: This form of treatment involves the use of injections into the subcutaneous tissue. Injections are often vitamins causing liquefaction of the fat and thereby reduction of cellulite.
  3. The ancient Chinese medicinal form, Acupuncture, has also been used for cellulite therapy. It is known to soothe the nerve endings and releases hormones that reduce pain and improve skin texture. This therapy can be tailor made according to the individual, which is the biggest advantage of acupuncture.

As compared to the invasive methods, more and more non-invasive Cellulite Treatment techniques are being discovered for cellulite therapy. Here are several available options.

  1. Diet and water intake: A little diet modification to high fiber content consisting of raw vegetables and fresh fruits is very important for preventing cellulite formation. No junk foods at all! Plenty of water intakes to flush out the accumulated toxins. Two spoonfuls of apple vinegar cider, which is known to boost the immune system, is also being used for cellulite therapy.
  2. Ultrasound waves have been used to generate heat and reduce the cellulite and improve skin texture.
  3. Other therapies like use of essential oils containing herbal extracts, body wraps and herbal creams have been used to improve the skin texture in the cellulite-affected areas.

It must be kept in mind that a combination of the Cellulite Treatment methods available is always more useful and natural methods are the all time favorites.

Cellulite

Cellulite is a form of dimpled fat that is often seen in women around the thighs, hips and buttocks. It is of cosmetic concern to women and is not associated with any health risks. It affects about 85% to 90% of post pubertal females of all races. There are inelastic strands of connective tissue running from the skin to the deeper layers of the muscle. These strands keep the skin in place while the fat bulges out causing the orange peel appearance of the skin or dimpling of the skin. This is the typical appearance of what is called cellulite.

Mechanisms for cellulite formation:

The causes of cellulite deposition are not yet completely known but the following factors play a role in cellulite formation.

  • Genetic factors
  • Hormonal factors especially the females hormones which may cause fluid retention
  • Lack of blood circulation through the lower limbs
  • Lack of lymph circulation in the lower limbs leading to gathering of toxic waste
  • Lack of physical activity
  • Improper eating habits like eating refined and processed foods

The progress of cellulite formation can be divided into 4 stages.

  • Stage 1: Cellulite deposition is not apparent but fat continues to be deposited in the deep dermal tissues.
  • Stage 2: The classic dimpled appearance of cellulite is seen on pinching the skin of the affected area.
  • Stage 3: As more fat gets deposited the dimpling is now apparent even without pinching the skin.
  • Stage 4: Lumps and dimples are now seen due to extensive cellulite formation.

It is important to assess the stage of cellulite as the duration and type of treatment depends on the stage.

Various therapies are available for cellulite control, while some are invasive, others are not.  Women prefer the non-invasive methods to invasive techniques. Among the non-invasive methods, natural remedies are quickly gaining popularity because they are safe as well as inexpensive.

Eliminating Cellulite – Tips On How To Get Rid of Cellulite

We all know from experience that Eliminating Cellulite is a very difficult task. Why is that so? Before I answer that let us see how cellulite is formed.

Formation of cellulite:

Cellulite is the name given to the dimpled appearance of skin that many women have on their thighs, hips and buttocks. Beneath the outer layers of skin, we all have subcutaneous layers of skin that are held together by connective tissue. Fat cells retained in the body (due to several different factors) become lodged in this connective tissue causing it to expand. The connective tissue eventually hardens and the fat cells and toxins trapped in these layers of skin cause the surface of the skin to take on the lumpy, dimpled appearance.

Factors that make eliminating cellulite difficult:

  • Hereditary: Tendency to cellulite formation is one of the most important factors in Eliminating Cellulite. In such cases, cellulite formation even reaches up to stage four where it is easily visible.
  • Hormonal: Cellulite formation is more often seen in women. The reason for this could be the fluid retaining capacity of the female hormone estrogen. This leads to the puffy appearance of the skin. The difficulty in removing the influence of the hormone itself makes cellulite elimination difficult.
  • Stress: A stressful pattern of lifestyle that leaves no time for exercise and physical activity only helps cellulite accumulation. In addition, consumption of refined and processed food only adds to the above.
  • Circulation: Poor circulation of lymph, which is responsible for the elimination of waste products formed by the metabolism, is another contributory factor, which makes the process of eliminating cellulite difficult.

Each of these needs to be identified and tackled accordingly, to help with Eliminating Cellulite. Any gross abnormalities in the hormonal patterns must be corrected with expert advice. Regular exercises including cardiovascular exercises and weight training go a long way in helping elimination of cellulite. Dietary modifications to include fresh fruits, vegetables and plenty of fluids also help. Though the genetic tendency cannot really be dealt with, the above-mentioned methods are sufficient to eliminating stubborn cellulite.

Cellulite Diet – How To Get Rid of Cellulite With Your Diet

Cellulite Diet therapy is a great way to naturally reduce unwanted cellulite. In general, every one of us is conscious about our diet and our body shape. You would have to be extra careful in your diet if you have cellulite. Let us see why sticking on to a diet and regular exercise is important for persons affected by cellulite.

What is cellulite? It is nothing but the fatty deposits, which is commonly seen on thighs and hips. You might have noticed depressions or dimples in your thighs and would have wondered what it is so now you know.

To fight cellulite, a healthy Cellulite Diet is required. Let us look at the diet restrictions:

  • You can include food items like fruits, vegetables, beans, etc., meaning food items rich in proteins and fiber.
  • If you have the habit of consuming too much of coffee or tea, either reduce the intake or completely avoid it. Similarly, avoid alcohol too. It is also not advisable to consume large amounts of salt or sugar.
  • Avoid food items that are rich in fat and carbohydrates.
  • Consume food items made of wholegrain. This is significant component of cellulite diet.
  • Drink lots of fluids. It can be water or fresh juices; avoid aerated drinks. Fluids improve your excretory and lymphatic systems, helping you flushing out toxins from the body.
  • Avoid eating high-calorie food items; this will only lead to increase in cellulite.
  • Include onions and garlic in your food as they help in getting rid of toxins from your lymph and blood.
  • If you smoke, leave it immediately. When you smoke, nicotine is introduced to your body. Due to this, your body looses its elasticity.
  • Avoid sweets and chocolates as they are fatty substances. If you really want to take something sweet, you can go for fresh yogurt.

Cellulite is something that is easily curable; however, you should ensure that you eat a healthy Cellulite Diet and do some exercise.

VelaSmooth – Cellulite Reduction by Light Energy

VelaSmooth is a revolutionary technology that helps individuals to reduce the outward appearance of cellulite. Light energy has often been used for cellulite reduction and recent advancements in cellulite therapy have also introduced the mechanical energy like massage rollers and the use of suction devices to reduce cellulite. VelaSmooth is a new technology that combines the abovementioned three techniques to bring about cellulite reduction.

How Does the Treatment Work?

  1. Light energy: Combined energies of Bipolar Radio frequency and Infra red light are used. This produces heat within the tissues and increases the degradation of the fat. It also dilates the blood vessels and improves the blood circulation. The improved blood circulation washes away the toxic products from the site of cellulite deposition.
  2. Mechanical Energy: This is used in the form of a roller massage, which produces mechanical effects on the skin. It destroys the inelastic bands in the skin, which cause the dimpled appearance of cellulite. Coupled with this, the massage smoothes the skin surface, thus improving the overall appearance of the skin.
  3. Suction: The suction and vacuum effects also act by producing heat and mechanical effects which increases the elasticity of the skin.

Duration and Cost of Treatment

The VelaSmooth therapy lasts for about 4 to 6 weeks for effects to be seen. Each session lasts for about 45 minutes with two sessions per week. A total of about 8 to 10 treatment sessions may be required and is priced up to $1200 to $1400.

Advantages

VelaSmooth is a painless and non-invasive technology with minimum complications. It can be taken up by any individual with cellulite.

Disadvantages

A tingling sensation may be felt if it is used over broken the skin. After treatment, the skin becomes red for about half an hour. Bruising may also be seen in some individuals. This VelaSmooth therapy is expensive as it is the latest in cellulite removal therapy.
