Leg Hair Removal

Have you ever had leg hair sticking out of your stockings? I think we all have had to deal with this embarrassing situation on at least one occasion in our life. If you were lucky you had enough time to jump in the shower to shave quickly. Most of us don’t discover it until we are at work and happen to look down at our legs. Worse yet, imagine if it was during an intimate moment that your hair was discovered.

There are many ways you can get rid of the hair on your legs. You can use a temporary method such as shaving, waxing or you can use a depilatory cream. Some of us want to get rid of the hair for good so instead we will choose one of two permanent methods including electrolysis or Laser Hair Removal.

With the other methods there are many side effects to deal with. With waxing your skin will eventually become wrinkled. Your skin on your legs will also be red and inflamed. Ingrown hairs can also occur. With shaving there is razor burn, skin irritation, and an increase in breakouts.  Depilatory creams can cause allergic reactions, chemical burns and skin discoloration. With electrolysis there is intense pain, and very long sessions. Not to mention the fact that you have to go through many more sessions than with Laser Hair Removal.

Laser Hair Removal is a permanent way to get rid of the hair on your legs. This procedure leaves your legs softer and smoother than ever before. This is because the lasers trigger the production of collagen, which makes the skin look great and is associated with younger looking skin. Laser hair removal also saves you time in the long run as other methods like shaving, waxing and electrolysis are very time consuming.

Laser Hair Removal works with the use of a laser light that deactivates the hair follicle making them unable to produce any new hairs. It does this in a split second. In each split second several follicles on the legs are treated at the same time. To have your legs treated it will take approximately one hour. To completely get rid of the hair for good you will need between two and eight sessions.

In order to prepare for Laser Hair Removal you should shave one day before your first treatment. Shaving helps the lasers identify the hair follicles. If your legs are going to be exposed to the sun you need to apply sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 to prevent skin discoloration. If you tend to get nervous you should avoid all beverages such as coffee and cola or others that contain caffeine.
